History

There are more than 2000 students in Riga Technical School of Tourism and Creative Industry. Currently, this is one of the largest vocational education institutions in Latvia. The technical school offers the acquisition of vocational secondary and vocational education programs for both primary and secondary school graduates in tourism and commerce, food manufacturing, interior and design, fashion and style, catering service and hospitality service departments. The technical school implements continuing education and professional development programs as well as recognition of non-formal education.

Riga Technical School of Tourism and Creative Industry, State Ltd plans to create a modern and equipped educational center in a single real estate complex, providing for the construction of a new gym, connecting it with the buildings of the educational institution.

The technical school successfully operates in non-governmental organizations:

  • UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization);
  • AEHT (European Association of Hotel and Tourism Schools);
  • EUROPEA (association working for the development of vocational education and training (VET) in the green sector of Europe);
  • C.H.A.S.E. (Consortium of Hospitality and Accomodation Schools of Europe);
  • e.t.c.
